the One who adopted us.

After 10 hours of travel time and layovers we arrived in a very windy, very different place.  I love the fact that I know God is the same – whether we are here in Haiti or in College Station, Texas, He is.

That is what hit me while flying over the clouds.  How big our God, our Maker, our abba – the one who adopted us – is.  He is more than I could think or imagine, yet He knows me personally.  He knows me better than I know myself and He chose me from before He even created those clouds to be His child.

Here’s a little glimpse from our trip thus far – in country 5 hours.

Hour One:  Loads to our first destination, the Women’s Center.  Oh yes, it was fun.

After traveling for a short distance we arrived at our house (aka the Women’s Center).

Women's Center

We have gotten to eat a delicious dinner, which included french butter and alfredo sauce, amazing pineapples, and 2 little boys – Sammy (2) and Gino (3).  They are in the long and drawn out process of being adopted by a great man who will be staying the week here too.  Pray that God sends favor and blessing in abundance on their paperwork and family, and that He grows these two boys into men that glorify Him with all that they are. Pray His will be done above all else – because we know it is for His glory and our joy.

Also, Know and believe that what our faithful God has told us is true:

  • “But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.” 2 Corinthians 2:14

Pray that we continue to be useful salt and bright lights.  Ask the Lord to give us boldness and compassion.  Plead that we will know what to do in every situation, relying completely on His Spirit and love, in Jesus Christ.

i love you all.
